The cause of many debates (or downright arguments) between users, the big question still remains. Which is better? PC or Mac?
In the end, it really comes down to what one prefers. They are different systems, but they are still built on the same building blocks and perform the same functions.

So, lets look at some of the pros and cons of the two. Macs tend to be a more closed system than their Windows counterparts, with a design philosophy of ‘built our way, the way we know works’, while Windows computers have more flexibility, both on the hardware and software side of things.¬†Macs are often thought of as the computer for creative arts, while Windows is the operating system for the business man. This once was true, but these days the lines have blurred, and both systems can do both as well as the other. Windows tends to have more options for applications, but that has been changing over the last few years, with the introduction of the App store providing an easy way to find the piece of software you are looking for quickly. The main operating system specific software that exists these days are games, which tend to favour the Windows operating system more. Macs have always been lauded for their lack of viruses, and while there are certainly less viruses existing for Macs, they do exist. When it comes down to it, it depends on what the user prefers. If you prefer a system which has the ‘just works’ attitude, and you can live with less options of flexibility, you might prefer a Mac, while if you want to be able to get your hands dirty with the workings of your computer, or are an avid gamer, perhaps you want a Windows.
